This is one of our favourite things to bake.
Lachie has a lot of allergies and this recipe is one of the most successful things to make when you can’t use Eggs, Nuts, Dairy, Wheat or Soy.
We made a little step-by-step tutorial video as we baked and you can view it on my You Tube Channel here:
Here is the recipe below if you’d like to have a go making it yourself.
- 1 1/4 cups plain Gluten Free flour, sifted
- 1 cup GF rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
- 150g Nuttalex Dairy Free Butter
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 tablespoon of water.
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda (I didn’t have bicarb so used Baking Powder instead)
Sift the GF flour into a bowl. Add the sugar, rolled oats and coconut.
Melt the Nuttalex Butter in a saucepan then add the golden syrup and water.
Stir the bicarbonate of soda/baking powder into the liquid mixture it will bubble up a little.
Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Place small balls of the mixture on a greased baking tray and bake at 175C for 15-20 minutes.
Biscuits will harden when cooled on an airing rack.
