Loving my apps

I was speaking to my Mum last night about technology. Mum’s got a Samsung Galaxy smart phone a kindle and just got a new tablet last week.

I’m an Apple girl all the way with my Mac Book Pro, iPad and iPhone… and we’ve got a kindle too.

We were chatting about how amazing they all are and the old ‘what did we ever do without them?’.

My current fav app is of course Instagram. I love making photo collages with Frametastic but my new go-to app is MyFitnessPal.

MyFitnessPal helps you achieve your weight loss goals. You put in your current weight and your goal weight and how quickly you want to loose weight and it works out what your daily calories should be. You can then track calories with a fantastic food diary feature where you can scan the barcode of products and it will give you all the nutritional info etc.

You can add the exercise you’ve done and it will credit the calories to your daily total.

I really need to buy a set of scales as I can’t use the weigh in feature yet :)

My other recommended apps are the Australia Post app… No online business owner can live without it.

And for new babies the Children’s panadol app is great as it has a breastfeeding tracker on it. As well as baby soothing classical music.

So there you have it!

You can see my white rose instagram pic on Megan Morton’s collage studio wall top left, 3rd from the top. Is anyone going to the event…?

What’s your fav app?

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Janette – I love apps too – my favourite are Strava (Run and Cycle) – track your route and distance and rate your run/ cycle compared to others who have done same route – a great motivator.
My other favourite app is Goodreads – no need to ever buy a bad book again! Has great book reviews and I can scan the bar codes of books before buying or borrowing them. Love technology:)

  4. Oh how I wish I had an iPhone, even an old model… I’m desperate to join Instagram! Will looks so grown up in the snaps above! I know Paul uses the Strava app for his cycling but I’m not familiar with many others. The fitness/weight loss one you’ve described above sounds handy. I love the barcode part of it!! x

  5. I love reading about everyone’s favourte apps. It’s the best way to discover a new favourite. Without a doubt, on my phone, I adore Hipstamatic, & Incredibooth – both photography apps, but oh yes, how did we ever do without!
